WASHINGTON – Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) released the following statement on President Biden’s proposed budget of more than $6 trillion.

“During President Biden’s time in office, inflation has increased at its fastest pace since 2008. Instead of trying to rein in runaway costs, President Biden is proposing a budget of over $6 trillion, which is more than the United States spent to win World War II. His plan would burden Americans with more taxes, at a time when we should be trying to grow the economy, not stifle it. Even with these increased taxes, our federal deficit will continue to soar, irresponsibly saddling future generations with debt. I will continue to advocate for a realistic budget, rooted in the principle of a limited government, that keeps more money in the pockets of North Dakotans.”
