BISMARCK, N.D. – Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer and Congressman Kelly Armstrong today issued the following statement after President Donald J. Trump approved Governor Doug Burgum's request for a major presidential disaster declaration in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic:
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Treasury Department today released the borrower application for the newly created Paycheck Protection loan program designed to help small businesses maintain payroll during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program was created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 27.

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Representatives Ted Deutch (FL-22), Kelly Armstrong (ND-AL), and Veronica Escobar (TX-16) led 45 of their colleagues in a bipartisan letter urging the Department of Justice to review whether a criminal defendant received a "trial penalty" as the President considers clemency petitions.
